The New England Patriots are giving up just a little over 100-yards on the ground to opposing running backs this season – 11th best in the NFL so far this season. The Indianapolis Colts are hoping that a steady pounding of Jonathon Taylor will break that stingy Patriots run defense.
Taylor has missed four games this season due to injury, and has struggled to fin his old self so far this season. Taylor has yet to go over 100-yards on the ground in any of the five games that he has played in this season. But the Colts think that Taylor is due to have a big day against the Patriots, as the Patriots defense enters this matchup a little banged up.
Taylor was held to just 47-yards on 18 caries in his last game against a good Panthers defense. Taylor did have his best game of the season two weeks ago against a very good Saints defense. Taylor averaged 7.9 yards per carry in that game, and rushed for 95-yards – his biggest output of the season.
