Tank Dell victim of a shooting outside a nightclub Saturday night in Florida

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was the victim of a minor injury from a shooting that took place outside of a nightclub in Sanford, Florida on Saturday night.

According to the Texans, Dell was shot outside the nightclub just after midnight. At least 10 people were wounded when a teenage gunman reportedly opened fire in what a Texans Spokesperson labeled a “private event”.

The Houston Texans have released the following statement. “Dell has been released from the hospital and he is in good spirits. We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”

According to police, the incident started when a fist fight broke out at the Cabana Live, a nightclub in Sanford, Florida. Reportedly a 16 year old suspect opened fire into a crowd of people, wounding as many as ten people in the process. None of the wounds were reported to be life threatening.

The suspect was disarmed by a security guard at the nightclub. The 16 year old suspect was arrested and taken into custody at a juvenile detention center. Charges of attempted homicide, firing a weapon in a public place, using a firearm during a felony and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.
