Chiefs WR Rashee Rice suspected of causing major accident in Dallas

By | Published | No Comments

The Dallas Morning news is reporting that a vehicle registered to Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is suspected by police of being involved in a major accident involving as many as six cars.

The accident occurred on Interstate 75 just North of Dallas at around 6:20 PM local time. According to a police report obtained by the Dallas Morning news two vehicles a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini were traveling at a high rate of speed in the far left lane, when then both vehicles lost control and a chain reaction accident occurred, as at least four other vehicles ended up getting caught up in the accident.

It is believed that the Corvette is registered or leased to Rice and that Rice was apparently not at the scene of the accident when police arrived.

There is no word on the severity of the injuries or if Rice was driving any of the vehicles involved in the crash or if he was even in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Rice grew up in North Richland Hills, a suburb of Dallas. Rice was a second round draft pick by the Chiefs last year and he was the leading target of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in his rookie season.

UPDATE:
According to a police report obtained by the Dallas Morning News there were four injuries reported, with two people being treated for minor injuries at the crash scene and two additional people treated for minor injuries at the hospital. None of the injuries reported are serious or life threatening.
