Week 8 Power Ranking

By | Published | No Comments

This week’s power rankings see a few teams starting to separate themselves as true early season playoff contenders. A few teams that I thought were contenders, several weeks back, now look more like pretenders. Lots of movement this week, so let’s see where things shake out.

Philadelphia Eagles6-1Still the best team in the NFC
Kansas City Chiefs6-1Probably the best team in the AFC
San Francisco 49ers5-2Could still be the best team in the NFC
Baltimore Ravens5-2Did you see what they did to the Lions
Jacksonville Jaguars5-2Four in a row, looking for five in a row
Miami Dolphins5-2Well I guess they can’t beat good teams
Detroit Lions5-2Mama did say there would be days like last week
Dallas Cowboys4-2It feels like there 2-4 instead of 4-2. Weird vibes right now.
Seattle Seahawks4-2They are hanging in there and winning games. They’ll take it
Buffalo Bills4-3There’s a really good team somewhere under this mess
Cleveland Browns4-2The Browns QB situation is weird, but they are winning
Pittsburgh Steelers4-2The Steelers are the worst 4-2 team in the NFL
Atlanta Falcons4-3The Falcons are the worst 4-3 team in the NFL
Houston Texans3-3The Texans have the AFC South right where they want them
Cincinnati Bengals3-3A healthy Burrow equals a good Burrow and good Bengals
New York Jets3-3Lets face it 3-3 feels like 4-2 at this point
Tampa Bay Buccaners3-3They just keep dropping on this list. Drop drop drop drop
Minnesota Vikings3-4The Vikings are the best 3-4 team in the NFL
Indianapolis Colts3-4This is feeling more like a lost season for the Colts
Washington Commanders3-4Well it was fun while it lasted. Maybe not that much fun
Los Angeles Chargers2-4I thought they were supposed to be better this season?
Las Vegas Raiders3-4Well at least you can have fun on the strip after a loss
New Orleans Saints3-4Well at least you can have fun on Bourbon St.after a loss
Los Angeles Rams3-4Well at least you can have fun…oh never mind.
Tennesse Titans2-4Does anybody want to play quarterback for the Titans?
New England Patriots2-5So I guess that’s a no on the whole tanking thing.
New York Giants2-5Looking more like last year was just a fluke
Chicago Bears2-5The Bears need to slow down on the whole wins thing
Denver Broncos2-5What was Sean Payton saying again about bad coaching?
Green Bay Packers2-4What happened to the Packers? They have fallen off a cliff.
Arizona Cardinals1–6They got there one win and now it’s time to look to next year
Carolina Panthers0-6Nowhere to go but up. I mean in theory.
