The Buffalo Bills have added wide receiver Chase Claypool to their roster on a one year deal, the team announced Friday morning.
Claypool joins Keon Coleman, the teams second round draft selection, as new comers expected to make an impact this season as the team looks to replace the production of departed pro bowl receiver Stefon Diggs, who was traded in the offseason to the Houston Texans.
Claypool was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2020 draft and played two seasons there before he was traded to the Chicago Bears in the 2022 off-season. Claypool had a fairly productive rookie season, totaling 873 yards on 62 receptions and 11 touchdowns.
Claypool’s time in Chicago saw a steep decline in his overall productivity and he was eventually traded again to Miami Dolphins just before the trade deadline in October last season. Claypool appeared in nine games for the Dolphins last season, catching just four passes.
