It is common for teams to have their star players address the team on the eve before a big game. Last night Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones and Travis Kelce stood before their teams and each delivered a prominent and impactful message.
According to those present, however, Kelce’s speech left few dry eyes in the room.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid had Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones address the team last night at the hotel. All were great. Kelce particularly so— "Unbelievable" and "powerful", according to people in the room, to the point where some teammates were moved to tears.

Kelce speech was said to be extremely impactful and emotional. Kelce and his team are trying to do something that only nine other teams have ever done, win three or more Super Bowls.
Kelce and the Chiefs are also trying to do something that only eight teams in NFL history have ever done and that’s win back-to-back Super Bowl championships.
The last time that happened was in 2004, when the New England Patriots won back-to-back Super Bowls.
Kelce has become a super star tight end in the NFL and his popularity has soared this season in large part due to Kelce’s relationship with popstar Taylor Swift.
Swift is reportedly expected to be at Super Bowl LVIII after a long trip back to the United States from her overseas tour in Tokyo, Japan.
